Public Observing (and Presentation) at the Beachy Head Story Centre, Beachy Head Rd, Eastbourne BN20 7YA – NOTE NEW LOCATION

Free event at which we will use some Society telescopes to view the night sky, and have learned members available to describe and explain what we can observe. Depending on the time of year, the Moon and various planets and maybe some deep sky objects like the Andromeda Galaxy or the Orion Nebula will be available to view.

We will also provide a slide presentation on an introduction to astronomy within the The Beachy Head Story Centre – to which we will retire if the weather is too inclement.

Note that we will not be able to observe in case of heavy cloud, rain, snow, ice or high winds – sorry we cannot control the weather, and we cannot see through clouds, however the presentations will still go ahead.

Plenty of car parking.

We may retire to the Beachy Head pub after the event, especially if it starts raining!

Event held in conjunction with Eastbourne Borough Council.
